Texas Instruments AM263x Sitara microcontroller is designed to meet the complex real-time processing needs of the next generation of industrial and automotive embedded products. The AM263x MCU family consists of multiple pin-to-pin compatible devices with up to four 400MHz Arm Cortex-R5F cores. Multiple Arm cores can be programmed to run in lock step mode to achieve different functional security configurations. The Industrial Communication Subsystem (ICSS) supports integrated industrial Ethernet communication such as PROFINET IRT, TSN, or EtherCAT, or is used for standard Ethernet connectivity or custom I/O interfaces. The series is designed for advanced motor control and digital power control applications using advanced analog modules.

     Multiple R5F kernels are arranged in a cluster with 256KB of shared tightly coupled memory (TCM) and 2MB of shared SRAM without the need for external storage. A variety of ECCs are included in on-chip memory, peripherals and interconnects for high reliability. In addition to a granular firewall managed by HSM, the AM263x device provides encryption acceleration and secure startup capabilities, allowing developers to design the most secure system possible.
