Vishay Intertechnology, Inc has released a series of surface mount MLCCS optimized for DC blocking applications. Available in 0402,0603,0805 and 1210 case sizes, the device features voltage ranges from 25V to 500V, and offers temperature ranges from -55C to +125C. 

     The Vishay Vitramon DC Shielding Capacitor is the industry's first device suitable for the common frequency band from 3MHz to 18GHz, enabling designers to simply select the right components for their applications. These devices are manufactured with reliable NME technology and are ideal for RF, Bluetooth, 5G and power line communication circuits; Defense radio; Infotainment system; Optical fiber lines; Microwave module; Amplifier; And high-frequency data links.

     In these applications, the mlcc block DC voltage (not including the requirements for higher cost broadband blocks) while efficiently transmitting the desired AC signal over the selected frequency band with an insertion loss of less than 0.5dB. Capacitors cover HF, VHF, UHF, L, S, C, X and Ku frequency bands and provide no resonance performance in the frequency range.
