Small ultra low RON load switch with controlled on function
Small ultra low RON load switch with controlled on function
March 09 , 20230
Texas Instruments TPS22963/64 Load switch is a small ultra-low RON load switch with controlled on-on function. The device uses a low RDSON N channel MOSFET and can operate in the input voltage range from 1V to 5.5V. It can also switch electric currents up to 3A. The integrated charge pump can bias the NMOS switch to obtain a low switching on-resistance. The switch is controlled by an ON/off input (ON) and can be directly connected to a low voltage GPIO control signal. The rise time of the TPS22963/64 device is controlled internally to avoid surge current.
TPS22963/64 provides reverse current protection. When the power switch is disabled, the device will not allow current to flow into the input side of the switch. This feature is activated only when the device is disabled, allowing intentional reverse current to be provided for some applications (when the switch is enabled). Texas Instruments TPS22963/64 comes in a space-saving 6-pin WCSP package. The device is rated to operate in a naturally ventilated temperature range (-40 °C to +85°C).
