     The Qorvo PAC5285 Power Applications Controller is a highly integrated low-power BLDC controller and driver that integrates a flash programmable MCU, power management, signal conditioning, and three-phase BLDC inverter into a single product. The PAC5285 features a 50MHz Arm Cortex-M0 core, 32kB Flash, and 8KB SRAM. The device also has access to several different analog and digital peripherals for brushless DC motor control and drive.

     The PAC5285's high level of integration and single-chip design significantly reduces PCB size and BOM, making it ideal for very compact, low-power, 2S to 6S battery-powered brushless DC motor control. The device consumes a hibernation current of 8 µa@ 12VDC. Available in 6.0mm x 6.0mm, 40 pin QFN package.

     The PAC5285 includes a single 40V power input, ideal for 12V battery powered applications. The DC-DC charging pump converts the power input into IC power supply, inverter power supply, voltage regulator of the 5V system power core and analog power supply. A differential amplifier is also integrated for induction of motor current for overcurrent protection and motor control.

     The inverter can be configured to shut down over current, over voltage, under voltage, and over temperature. The power monitor allows the ADC to internally sample all power tracks. The device contains six 40V/300 mm MOSFETs and supports three-phase brushless DC motor applications.
