     Renesas's RX660 is the first 5 V MCU in the RX600/700 premium family of universal microcontrollers and is the successor to the RX210. The RX660's product line ranges from 48 pins to 144 pins, 512kb to 1mb of memory, and is compatible with RX210 pins, so the current circuit board can be used without modifying the circuit. For the first time in an mcu of 100 MHz or higher, an accuracy of ±1% of the built-in oscillator is guaranteed, allowing customers to remove the external oscillator with peace of mind.

As a result, the data capacity of the software is increasing due to redundant data, real-time operating systems, OTA support, etc., and the requirements for microcontroller ROM and RAM are increasing year by year.

     The RX660 comes with 1mb of ROM and 128kb of RAM to fully handle future data increases. The product is also the first in the RX family to incorporate a CAN FD (CAN and Flexible Data Rate) controller. The CAN automotive network standard is widely used in industrial equipment and electric bicycles for its excellent performance and reliable performance. However, due to the improvement of system control performance and complexity, the number of connected devices and the volume of communication data are increasing, and there is an increasing demand for CAN-FD, which can transmit data at higher speeds and greater capacity. Because it is backward-compatible with current CAN communications, it can be updated with only minor changes to the current system.
