EnglishLittelfuse announced the launch of its new line of electronic fuse protection integrated circuits, which will include four multifunctional circuit protection devices.Electronic fuse protection Integrated circuits are innovatively designed to provide a wide range of power inputs (3.3V to 28V) and integrated protection. In addition to overvoltage protection, the series of electronic fuses protects against overcurrent, short circuit, surge current, reverse current and overheating events, and features real-time diagnostics -- all in one chip.
Electronic fuse protection integrated circuits are ideal for a wide variety of consumer electronics and data communication interfaces, including:
• Bluetooth headset
• Wearable devices
• Tablet
• Charging cable
• Battery equipment
• Adapter power supply device
• Network equipment
• Personal computer/laptop
• Data communication power supply system
• Fan power control
• HDD and SSD storage drives
• Industrial 12V/24 power input/output
Bernie Hsieh, assistant product manager of Littelfuse's Protected Semiconductor Business team, said, "Electronic fuse protection ics integrate powerful circuit protection, sensing and control into a single chip, providing great flexibility for today's electronics designers. Its ability to deliver low-power, high-precision current-limiting circuits with fast response times is a win-win-win for many portable electronics and data communication applications."
Electronic fuse protection integrated circuits have the following major advantages:
• Provides a highly accurate current limiter with faster response times and more integrated protection features than traditional fuses and PTC
• Greater flexibility than conventional power switches, such as adjustable overvoltage thresholds, current limits and surge currents, and true reverse current blocking
• Reduced time to design phase and time to market while reducing PC board space requirements and BOM costs compared to typical discrete solutions such as hot swap controllers + MOSFeTs
• Improve product reliability, extend battery life, reduce maintenance costs, and extend the overall service life of products
Electronic fuse protection integrated circuits come in the following series:
• LS0504EVT233-5V, 4A, overvoltage and overcurrent protection, SOT23-3 package
• LS0505EVD22-5V, 5A, overvoltage and overcurrent protection, DFN2x2 package
• LS1205ExD33-18V, 5A, programmable current limiting, output voltage clamped, DFN3x3 package
• LS2406ERQ23-28V, 6A, true reverse blocking, fast Role switching, QFN2.5x3.2 encapsulation
