NXP's MC56F80xxx is a family of digital Signal controllers (DSC) based on a high-performance 100 MHz 56800EF DSP kernel, which is an upgrade of the 56800EX kernel with the addition of FPU, CORDIC/ trigonometric computing engine and fast hardware divider. The DSC family provides a high performance and cost-effective solution for digital power conversion and motor control applications.

     The MC56F80xxx combines DSP processing power, MCU capabilities, and a set of flexible peripherals to support different applications. It includes advanced high-speed and high-precision peripherals, such as an eight-channel eFlexPWM with a resolution of 312 ps, a dual-channel high-speed 12-bit ADC, two operational amplifiers, an orthogonal decoder and three analog comparators.MC56F80000-EVK is an ultra-low cost development platform for digital signal controller MC56F80xxx MCU. The dimensions are compatible with the Arduino R3 pin layout.
