Digilent's Measurement Calculation USB-2001-TC is a USB based thermocouple measurement device. Usb-2001-tc is a USB device for the measurement of J, K, R, S, T, N, E and B thermocouples. Thermocouple types can be programmed by software and stored on the device. A 20-bit ADC handles the data conversion. USB-2001-TC is equipped with open circuit thermocouple detection (OTD). Using OTD, the software can detect any open circuit of the thermocouple sensor. It detects an open channel by driving the input voltage to a positive value outside the output range of the thermocouple.

     The software recognizes this as an invalid reading and returns the value "OTD". Users can quickly connect the thermocouple to USB-2001-TC using a standard micro connector. The device is powered by USB and does not require an external power supply.

     Software support includes DAQami, an optional out-of-the-box application for data logging, visualization, and signal generation. The data can be viewed in real time on a user configurable display or after collection.
