Vishay Intertechnology has announced the introduction of a new series of surface mount multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCS) for straight separation applications. The Vishay Vitramon Capacitor is an industry leader in the 3 MHz to 18 GHz common band, providing an ideal choice for application designers.

     The device uses reliable precious metal electrode (NME) technology for RF, Bluetooth, 5G, powerline communication circuits, defense radios, infotainment systems, fiber optic lines, amplifiers, microwave modules, and high frequency data links. MLCC can isolate DC voltage in these applications without the need for more costly broadband isolation, while efficiently transmitting the desired AC signal within the selected frequency band with less than 0.5 dB insertion loss.

     The new capacitor covers HF, VHF, UHF, L, S, C, X and Ku frequency bands, and the whole frequency range has no resonance. Devices are available in 0402, 0603, 0805, and 1210 packages with operating voltages from 25 V to 500 V and operating temperatures from -55 °C to +125 °C.
