Analog Devices, introduced a complete 10BASE-T1L Ethernet solution for building automation networks. With the help of networked digital automation equipment, the whole building management from heating, ventilation, air conditioning to living comfort can be realized. The new product ADIN2111 adds long-distance Ethernet connectivity to controllers, sensors and actuators, helping to achieve more efficient and sustainable building management. Ideal for use in small, power-constrained edge devices, the ADIN2111 can save up to 50% power consumption and up to 75% PCB space compared to discrete solutions

     ADIN2111 is able to reduce retrofit costs by leveraging a single deployed twisted-pair wiring infrastructure within the building to transfer data in a Daisy chain fashion across wire and ring networks. ADIN2111 features enhanced diagnostic capabilities that leverage the real-time information provided on link quality and fault location to efficiently and quickly resolve problems, reducing debugging, installation, and system downtime. The solution meets the IEEE 802.3cg standard and enables Ethernet connectivity on cables up to 1.7km long, supports ring redundancy and soft real-time protocols such as Modbus/TCP, BACnet/IP and KNX.
