Littelfuse has announced the release of the new Pxxx0S3N SIDACtor protected thyristor line, which protects exposed interfaces in industrial and ICT applications, including RS-485 data interfaces and AC/DC power supplies. Protects equipment from severe transient overvoltage damage in harsh environments and helps designers meet regulatory requirements.

The Pxxx0S3N SIDACtor series comes in a compact DO-214AB (SMC) package designed to provide 3kA (8/20) high-power surge protection and reduce heat build up during prolonged overvoltage. An important advantage of Pxxx0S3N is that its switching voltage (VS) is much lower than the gas discharge tube (GDT), and its on-state voltage (VT) is much lower than the varistor (MOV) and transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diodes.


Pxxx0S3N is ideal for a variety of applications where hazardous environments exist, including:


Dc and AC power lines for factory automation, industrial /ICT applications,

● Energy storage system (ESS) power interface,

● Solar energy system DC/AC inverter,

UPS/AC high power distribution network

Electric vehicle (EV) charging system,
