TDK provides miniaturized common-mode filters for high-speed differential transmission of vehicles

     TDK has developed KCZ1210DH series common-mode filters suitable for automotive applications. The series provides noise control for high-speed differential transmission signal lines in the 1210 housing size (1.25 x 1.0 x 0.5mm) and will begin mass production in February 2022.

     With the addition of advanced driver assistance systems, the demand for forward-sensing cameras and panoramic surveillance video systems is growing rapidly. Common-mode filter, as a product of noise suppression, is applied to the signal line of the camera of autonomous vehicle. To handle large-capacity video signals, signal transmission rates will continue to increase to build a safe and reliable autonomous driving system.

     The product supports high-speed signals with transmission rates above 10Gbps. In addition, the product also helps control noise in the GHz band due to the increased speed. By supporting operating temperature ranges from -55 ºC to +125 ºC and using conductive resin-based electrodes, the product controls crevices caused by thermal shock while increasing durability against mechanical stresses such as substrate strain. The dimensions are 1.25 (L) x 1.0 (W) x 0.5 mm (H), saving space for plate installation.
