XP Power has officially announced the FCB100 series of AC-DC power supplies. The series is certified for medical (including BF), ITE and household standards for Class I and II (no ground connection) operation. With class B conduction and radiation in class I and II configurations and support for convection and fan cooling applications, this bare-plate type product is ideal for medical, home health, test & measurement, broadcast, networking, communications and other industrial equipment.

     All modules in the FCB100 family accept an ultra-wide working input voltage range of 80 to 264VAC, supporting global compatibility and home medical applications, with no load power consumption of less than 0.3W. Six standard output voltages are available: 12V, 15V, 19V, 24V, 36V, and 48VDC.

     The FCB100 series can operate in ambient temperatures from -25°C to +70°C. With external forced air cooling, the product delivers 100W of power at +50°C and linearly derates to 50W at +70°C. The product allows for low noise through natural convection cooling, with output up to 80/85W at +50°C and linear derating to 40/45W at +70°C, depending on the model. The bare-plate model measures 101.6 mm x 50.8 mm x 31.8 mm (4 inches x 2 inches x 1.25 inches) and weighs 160 grams (0.35 pounds). In addition, product standards include overvoltage, overload, short circuit and overtemperature protection.

     The product has input to output insulation of 4000VAC (2 x MOPP), input to ground 1500VAC (1 x MOPP), and output to ground 1500VAC (1 x MOPP). Combined with low leakage current, it is suitable for BF grade medical equipment. Safety certification includes IEC/ES/EN 60601-1, IEC/UL/EN 62368-1, IEC 60950-1 and IEC 60335. The product also complies with EMC standards EN55035 and IEC 60601-1-2 Edition 4.
