EPC's EPC9170 is a dual-phase 48 V/14 V bi-directional converter that delivers 2 kW power and 96.8% peak efficiency in a small size solution suitable for 48 V EV and 48 V server power supply.The reference design uses ePower 100 V, 65 A integrated circuit chipset, including EPC23101 ePower Stage IC and EPC2302 eGaN® FETs. The solution is capable of delivering a maximum tolerable voltage of 100 V, It also provides up to 65 A load current and a switching speed greater than 1 MHz.

The high switching speed and low loss of gallium nitride (GaN) devices enable the converter to operate at 500 kHz, resulting in A significant reduction in the size of the solution, with an efficiency of more than 96.5% between 60 A and 110 A and 95.8% at 140 A
