     The Texas Instruments TPS62933 is an efficient and easy-to-use synchronous step-down converter with a wide input voltage range of 3.8V to 30V, continuous output current of up to 3A, and output voltage range of 0.8V to 22V. The device uses a fixed frequency peak current control mode to achieve fast transient response and good line and load regulation. Optimized internal loop compensation eliminates external compensation components over a wide range of output voltages and operating frequencies. Pulse frequency modulation (PFM) mode maximizes light load efficiency. The ULQ feature is extremely beneficial for extending battery life in low-power operations.

     Switching frequencies can be set by configuring RT pins in the 200 kHz to 2.2 MHz range, allowing users to optimize system efficiency, solution size, and bandwidth. The soft start time can be regulated by the external capacitance of the SS pin to minimize the surge current when driving a large capacitance load.

     The device has a spread spectrum characteristic which helps to reduce EMI noise. TPS62933 provides complete protection, including OTP, OVP, UVLO, period-by-cycle OC limitation, and UVP with hiccup mode. The device is packaged in a small SOT583 (1.6 mm x 2.1 mm) package with 0.5 mm pin spacing and an optimized pin arrangement for easy PCB layout and improved EMI performance
