     STMicroelectronics ILPS22QS is an ultra-compact piezoresistive absolute pressure sensor that can be used as a digital output barometer. It supports dual-mode full scale up to 4,060 hPa, which can be selected by users. Lower power consumption and pressure noise than previous versions. The ILPS22QS includes a sensing element and an IC interface to complete the communication between the sensing element and the application through the I²C, MIPI I3CSM or SPI interface. It also supports a 1.2V digital interface. The sensing element for detecting absolute pressure consists of a suspension membrane manufactured using a special process developed by ST.

     The ILPS22QS has embedded analog hub sensing capabilities to connect analog inputs and convert them into digital signals for embedded processing. In addition, the embedded Qvar™ (Charge Change Detection) can be sensed in water leakage detection, single click, double click, long press, and L/ R-R /L slide applications.

     The ILPS22QS comes in a full-mold HLGA (LGA with holes) package. The package has openings to allow external pressure to reach the sensing element. The device is guaranteed to operate in the extended temperature range from -40°C to +105°C
