Mini-Lock is a versatile wire-to-board/wire-to-wire system from Molex suitable for a wide range of 2.50 mm (0.098") pitch industry standard applications. The system includes straight and right Angle couplings and offers both disc and radial belt package options. The Mini-Lock is fully shielded from the contact and includes a high guide wall for easy connection.

     Failure by the assembler to secure the terminals into the housing may result in poor contact and may result in eventual product failure. The Mini-Lock TPA and crimp terminals ensure that the terminals are locked in the correct position. Home appliances, automobiles, and consumer applications may have water, shock, or vibration problems that require potting of their PCBS. The Mini-Lock connector has a 2 mm to 6 mm potting height to cover the PC board. Only solutions with searing wire function can meet the EU regulations for the household appliances market (IEC60335-1).

     The Mini-Lock connector provides the option of a VDE tested and certified hot wire function. In on-line board industry applications, sometimes the operator cannot ensure that the connectors match exactly. This can lead to eventual product failure. The Mini-Lock has a keying function to ensure the correct connection direction, and the forward lock has an audible click to ensure the correct connection.
