ADI's AD4630-24 is a dual-channel, synchro sampling Easy Drive 2 MSPS SAR ADC. The AD4630-24 delivers a maximum ±0.9 ppm INL, 24-bit, no-miss code, and unmatched accuracy from -40°C to +125°C.A low drift internal precision reference buffer facilitates voltage reference sharing with other system circuits. The typical dynamic range of the AD4630-24 is 106 dB when using a 5 V reference voltage source. Low background noise makes the required gain of the signal chain smaller and the required power lower. A block-average filter with programmable extraction rate can increase the dynamic range to 153 dB.
The wide differential input and common model perimeter allow the input to use the full ±VREF range without saturation, simplifying signal regulation requirements and system calibration. The improved setup of the Easy Drive analog input broadens the selection of analog front end components compatible with the AD4630-24. Single-ended and differential signals are supported.
The multifunctional Flexi-SPI serial interface simplifies host processor and ADC integration. A wide data clock window, multiple SDO channels, and an optional dual data rate (DDR) data clock can reduce the serial clock to 10 MHz while running at a sampling rate of 2 MSPS. The Echo clock mode and ADC master clock mode relax timing requirements and simplify the use of digital isolators.
The AD4630-24's 64-ball chip-level package ball-gate Array (CSP_BGA) integrates all critical power supplies and reference bypass capacitors, thereby reducing the footprint and number of system components and reducing sensitivity to board layout.
