Texas Instruments TPSM8281x 4A and 3A step-down MicroSiP power modules provide integrated inductors and fixed frequency peak current modes to control frequency synchronization of topology features. The TPSM8281x provides a low-resistance switch that allows up to 4A continuous output current at high ambient temperatures. The switching frequency is externally adjustable, from 1.8MHz to 4MHz, and can also be synchronized to an external clock in the same frequency range.

     In PFM/PWM mode, TI TPSM8281x automatically enters power saving mode during light load, maintaining high efficiency throughout the load range. TPSM8281x supports 1% output voltage accuracy in PWM mode, which helps to design a power supply with high output voltage accuracy. The SS/TR pins set the startup time or track the output voltage to an external source, which allows the outside to sort different supply tracks and limits the inrush current during startup.
