     Boreas Technologies BOS1901 Piezoelectric Haptic Drive with digital front is a single chip piezoelectric drive with energy recovery based on the patent-pending CapDrive technology. When operating at a supply voltage of 3V to 5.5V, the waveform of the BOS1901 drive driver is up to 190Vpk-pk. The input digital stream of the driver is written to the digital interface of the internal FIFO to produce the desired output waveform. The BOS1901 piezoelectric haptic driver offers low power consumption and small size for a variety of applications requiring minimum power consumption and heat dissipation. The BOS1901 piezoelectric haptic driver is available in a 20L 4mm x 4mm x 0.8mm 0.5P QFN package.

     Boreas BOS1901 piezoelectric haptic driver uses a high speed SPI on the digital front end. SPI enables the BOS1901 to share a common communication-bus multi-actuator system and allows users to question various data such as actuator voltage sensing applications (such as piezoelectric buttons). In addition, piezoelectric haptic actuators feature low distortion waveforms and quiet actuator operation.

     BOS1901 Drivers provide unidirectional power input (UPI) and are designed for systems in power transmission networks that cannot handle reverse current. Typical startup times are less than 300µs, and driver latency is negligible on most systems. In addition, the equipment has safety systems to protect against damage from failure.
