The TLV755P is an ultra small, low quiescent current, low loss regulator (LDO) with a source of 500 mA, and has good line and load transient performance. The TLV755P is optimized to support an input voltage range of 1.45 V to 5.5 V. To minimize the cost and scale of the solution, the device provides a fixed output voltage from 0.6 V to 5 V to support the lower core voltage of modern microcontroller (mcu). In addition, the TLV755P has a low IQ, which minimizes the standby power supply.

     The device has the characteristics of internal soft start to reduce inrush current, so as to provide controlled voltage for the load and minimize the input voltage drop during startup. During shutdown, the equipment will actively pull down the output and quickly discharge the output to ensure that the startup status is known. TLV755P is a stable small ceramic output capacitor that allows small overall solution size. A precision band gap and error amplifier provides typical 1% accuracy.

     All device versions incorporate thermal shutdown, current limiting, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). The TLV755P has an internal folding current limit to help reduce heat dissipation during short circuit events.
