The BMR492 series digital eight brick intermediate bus converter of Flex Power Modules can provide 600w to 800w continuous power in a short time, and the peak power can reach 1100w. In data communication and data center type applications, this so-called "burst mode" operation usually requires a cpu.
The first of the three available variants is the BMR4920302/861 converter. It provides 12v output, and the maximum rated output is 600w within the input voltage range of 40v~60v. DC/DC step-down solution is an ideal choice for the common 48v or 54v rated input voltage system in data center server applications. The equipment installed through the hole is fully regulated, including an input to output isolation voltage of 1500v (DC).
This BMR492 variant is very efficient, proving that the peak efficiency level at 48v (IN) at half load is 96.7%. The output voltage is preprogrammed to 12v as the standard, but this V (OUT) level can be adjusted in a large range of 8v to 13.2 V through the combined PMBus interface. This feature also helps optimize system level efficiency through dynamic bus voltage regulation based on the load provided.
The converter is an industry standard eighth brick format with a size of 58.4 mm x 22.7 mm x 12.7 mm (2.3 mm x 0.90 mm x 0.34 mm). The substrate variant has a standard DOSA pin, including a 7-pin digital head for the PMBus interface. The frequency converter is equipped with intelligent protection mechanisms such as overvoltage, overtemperature and short circuit, which extends the service life of the frequency converter, and the mean time between failures (MTBF) reaches 6.64 million hours. In addition, like DC/DC converters for all Flex power modules, these units comply with IEC/EN/UL 62,368-1 safety standards. The operating temperature range of the equipment is - 40 ℃~+125 ℃.
