Microchip's DM164137 is the perfect platform to harness the power of modern 8-bit PIC microcontrollers
0
Microchip Technology's DM164137 Curiosity board uses an 8-bit PIC microcontroller (mcu). Its layout and external connectivity provide unparalleled access to the core independent peripherals (CIPs) available on many 8-bit PIC MCUS. These CIPs enable users to integrate various system functions into a single MCU, simplifying design and keeping system power consumption and BOM costs low.

Curiosity Low Pin Count (LPC) development board supports Microchip 8-pin, 14-pin, and 20-pin 8-bit PIC MCUS. The dual rows of expansion heads on either side of the socket provide the flexibility to connect to all pins on the PIC mcu. Programming/debugging is done on the PICkit board (PKOB) without external programming/debugging tools. The board is connected to ground (GND) and supply voltage (VSS) via an application head, providing flexibility for experimentation.

It also has a set of indicator leds, mTouch buttons and pushbutton switches, and a variable potentiometer. In addition, the Curiosity LPC board integrates a MikroElektronika mikroBUS socket that can accommodate a variety of plug-in click board modules that can be used for application development.
