Analog Devices ADRF5519 20W Receiver Front End is a dual-channel integrated RF front-end multi-chip module designed for time division duplex (TDD) applications from 2.3GHz to 2.8GHz. The ADRF5519 is in a two-channel configuration with a cascaded two-stage low noise amplifier (LNA) and a high-power silicon monopole double-throw switch (SPDT).

In high-gain mode, the cascaded two-stage LNA and switch provide a low noise factor (NF) of 1.0dB, a high gain of 35dB at 2.6GHz, and an output third-order intercept point (OIP3) of 32dBm(typical). In low-gain mode, one of the two stages of the LNA is bypassed, providing a gain of 14dB at a lower current of 36mA. In power-off mode, the LNAs is closed and the device absorbs 12mA.

In the transmit operation, the RF input is connected to a terminal pin (ANT-CHA or ANT-CHB connected to TERM-CHA or TERM-CHB) respectively. The switch provides a low insertion loss of 0.5dB and handles a Long Term Evolution (LTE) average power of 43dBm (9dB peak average ratio (PAR)) during full life cycle operation. Simulator part ADRF5519 comes in a RohS-compatible, compact, 6mm x 6mm, 40-pin LFCSP package.
