Bourns expanded its product line with three new semi shielded power inductor model series. Bourns SRN3030HA, SRN4030HA and SRN5030HA power inductors comply with AEC-200 standards. They are designed with high current capacity, small size, low loss, high operating frequency and high operating temperature. The materials of high temperature grade are all up to the rated operating temperature of 150 ° C. A wide operating temperature range of – 55 to+150 ° C is provided. These features and functions enable Bourns' latest power inductor to have high reliability and become an ideal solution for power conversion applications such as EMI filtering, DC-DC converter and power supply in consumer, industrial and telecom electronic products.

     Compared with the unshielded option, the magnetic silica coating applied around the inductance windings can enhance the shielding of the inductance and reduce the magnetic field radiation. In addition, the semi-shielded construction helps reduce component costs compared to conventional ferrite shielded inductors of similar sizes. Each series is available in different heating current ratings, with saturation currents ranging from 5 A to 10 A. The Bourns SRN3040HA and SRN4030HA series have an inductance range of 1-100 μH and the SRN5030HA series have an inductance range of 0.47-100 μH. These compact power inductors achieve high Q values of 13 to 33, providing high impedance at resonant frequencies combined with low loss operation.
