The new "RDK2" development suite from Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH is a complete solution for firmware and hardware developers. RDK2 enables rapid proof-of-concept creation and reduced time to market. The modular toolkit uses Infineon Cypress's PSoC62 microcontroller to provide an outstanding solution for applications in the Internet of Things, Industrial Internet of Things (IoT, IIoT), smart wearables and the smart home.

The RDK2 development kit uses Infineon Cypress's PSoC62. The microcontroller features a dual-core CPU, making it ideal for secure edge computing and cloud applications. The PSoC62 has an integrated power management IC for SMPS and all connected power supplies. The new and unique butterfly design improves handling. This ensures that access to the Arduino connector is user-friendly and reduces potential interference from electromagnetic influences, especially with RF IoT Arduino shielding. To test the analog-to-digital conversion, you can use an integrated potentiometer. A special feature is that the user can access all the PSoC62 pins through the Arduino connector. Also included is a capacitive sensing technology called Cap Sense. It enables the touch surface used as the slider.
