Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) has introduced a complete 10BASE-T1L Ethernet solution for building automation networks. With the help of networked digital automation equipment, the whole building management from heating, ventilation, air conditioning to living comfort can be realized. The new product ADIN2111 adds long-distance Ethernet connectivity to controllers, sensors and actuators, helping to achieve more efficient and sustainable building management. The ADIN2111 is ideal for use in small, power-constrained edge devices, with power savings of up to 50% and PCB space savings of up to 75% compared to discrete solutions.

     ADIN2111 can use the single twisted pair cabling infrastructure deployed in the building to transmit data in the daisy chain mode in the online network and ring network, thus reducing the transformation cost. ADIN2111 has enhanced diagnostic functions, which can solve problems efficiently and quickly by using the real-time information provided about link quality and fault location, and reduce debugging, installation and system downtime. The solution conforms to IEEE 802.3cg standard, can realize Ethernet connection on 1.7km long cable, and supports ring redundancy and soft real-time protocols, such as Modbus/TCP, BACnet/IP and KNX.
