TT Electronics has announced the launch of its high surge, UL-certified line of fusible resistors, the WHS-UL series. Developed specifically for surge control applications such as power supplies, white goods, UPS, power metering and motor drives, TT Electronics' WHS-UL resistors offer increased surge and pulse energy tolerance

     WHS-UL is an UL1412-certified fusing resistor (UL file number E234469) capable of safe fusing at 120/240Vrms with UL94-V0 fireproof coating. These resistors are available in 2, 3, and 5W power options, with E24 resistance ranges of 10 to 100 ohms, and surge energy tolerance up to 30J and performance up to 7kV peak of 1.2/50µs. The series of resistors are also guaranteed to fuse safely under overload failure conditions as low as 30W. WHS-UL resistors are available in a variety of pin preforms, including a strip in vertical radial form and a ZI form for SMD processing.
