Infineon has launched a complete power management solution that supports the new generation of Intel Xeon processors
0
Infineon Technologies announced the launch of a comprehensive power management solution to support computing servers based on Intel's Sapphire Rapids processors (cpus). The new "surface mount" solution integrates a variety of Infineon power management devices and technologies, including XDP™ digital multiphase controllers, OptiMOS integrated power level devices and OptiMOS IPOL regulators, to deliver superior power efficiency and superior performance, helping to tap the full energy savings potential of the data center. Promoting green and low-carbon development.

"These power management solutions integrate Infineon software-defined digital multiphase controllers, outstanding integrated power-level devices and POL converters to improve energy efficiency and achieve superior system performance," said Rakesh Renganathan, Director of marketing, Power and Sensing Systems Division, Infineon Technologies. With its leading technology, Infineon provides customers with greater flexibility in system design, allowing them to maximize performance for different workloads and system architectures. We are excited to bring this new solution to market to further accelerate the global digitization process."

The XDPE152 series of ultra-transient phase controllers (XDPE15284D, XDPE15254D, XDPE152C4D) are equipped with an ultra-low power Arm® Cortex®-M0 core, which maximizes flexibility and performance according to different workloads, and achieves ultra-fast dynamic load response. Current mode coupled with Infineon's proprietary control algorithm requires minimal output capacitance to effectively control the peak pulse current of the processor for ultra-fast response. In addition, software-defined architectures give system designers unique flexibility to optimize system performance for different system architectures and processor workloads.

The TDA215xx series of OptiMOS integrated power level devices use industry-leading OptiMOS 6 technology to deliver outstanding power efficiency (> 95%) and reliability (maximum input voltage 25V), greatly reducing system heat dissipation and maintenance costs.

The OptiMOS IPOL TDA38640 digital voltage converter uses Infineon's proprietary fast constant on-time (COT) control engine to achieve excellent transient response. It is paired with Intel-compliant SVID and PMBus interfaces and provides enhanced digital telemetry.
