Vishay Intertechnology announces, NTCS0603E3..... T and NTCS0805E3..... T-series Automotive grade glass package protected thermistors expanded 0603 and 0805 dimensions, new resistance devices at +25 °C (R25). The device complies with the AEC-Q200 standard, with R25 resistance values including 1 kW and 1.5 kW low resistance values and an additional 5 kW resistance value, and is suitable for IGBT and power MOSFET module protection for electric vehicles (EV) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEV).

     The enhanced thermistor is enclosed in glass for full protection, with tolerances as low as ± 1% for R25 resistance and β values (B25/85), providing accurate temperature detection, protection and compensation in the temperature range from -40 °C to +150 °C. NTCS0603E3..... T and NTCS0805E3..... Smaller than MELF resistors, T-series devices are easy to assemble and have extremely high bending strength. They are suitable for on-board lift/step-down converters, LED modules, battery packs, electric vehicle charging piles, wind and solar panel inverters, and office equipment.

     The NTC thermistor is of SMD construction with nickel tin terminals for wave soldering and reflow soldering. The device complies with RoHS standard and is halogen-free. It is packaged with reels of perforated paper tape with 4,000 pieces each.
