Vishay launched a super small commercial vehicle grade IHLE integrated electric field shielding inductor

     Vishay Intertechnology announced the launch of new commercial automotive grade 5 mm x 5 mm x 3.4 mm 2020 dimension devices - IHLE-2020CD-51 and IHLE-2020CD-5A, and the expansion of IHLE â series ultra-thin, high current inductors, whose integrated electric field shielding can reduce EMI. Vishay Dale IHLE-2020CD-51 and IHLE-2020CD-5A are at the advanced level in terms of their external dimensions among similar devices in the market, and do not require separate board level Faraday shielding, thus reducing costs and saving circuit board space.

     This inductor uses copper tin plated integrated shielding cover to contain the electric field and magnetic field generated by EMI. When the integrated shielding cover is grounded, the electric field at 1cm (above the center of the inductor) can be reduced by - 20 dB. The inductor can work at a high temperature of+155 ° C. The coplanarity of the four pins is less than 100 µ m. It is suitable for energy storage of DC/DC converters, with a maximum frequency of 3 MHz. It has excellent noise attenuation performance in large current filtering applications within the inductor self resonant frequency (SRF) range.

     IHLE-2020CD-51 applications include servers and desktop PCs, laptops, high current load point (POL) converters, small high current power supplies, FPGA, and battery powered devices. IHLE-2020CD-5A has passed AEC-Q200 certification and is applicable to noise suppression of automobile engine and transmission control unit, entertainment/navigation system, LED driver, instrument panel, ADAS device/sensor and PWM control motor.

     The inductor is packaged with a 100% lead-free (Pb) shielding composite structure, which reduces the noise to a very low level. It has high thermal shock resistance, moisture resistance and mechanical vibration resistance, and can not saturate high transient current spikes. IHLE-2020CD-51 and IHLE-2020CD-5A meet RoHS and Vishay green standards and are halogen-free.
